Art Machines 2: International Symposium on Machine Learning and Art 2021 will take place from 10th-14th June 2021. Art Machines 2 will bring together Academics, Artists and Professionals in the field of Computational Media Art in a five-day symposium on the topic of Machine Learning and Art. This agenda-setting symposium will provide an opportunity for in depth assessment of the impact of Machine Learning on Artistic Media, as well as to reflect on the conditions of existence, range, futures and social significance of computationally based art and media more generally. In addition to the academic keynotes, panels and discussion forums, the symposium will include a curated exhibition of artworks and a student salon.

Due to the persistence of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Art Machines 2 Organizing Committee has decided to conduct the conference in a HYBRID FORMAT that will combine a live in-person conference at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong with virtual online access for international participants who are unable to attend. Keynotes sessions will be streamed live via Zoom and School of Creative Media YouTube Channel while all the other sessions of the conference will be accessible via zoom for registered participants both to attend and participate in. We plan to conduct sessions in an afternoon and evening format, which will make the conference more accessible to our friends in Europe and Asian time zones.
