Convocation

Alumni Relations Office (ARO) supports and sustains a progressive and healthy development of the Convocation and other alumni organisations. The Convocation is a statutory body established under the City University of Hong Kong Ordinance. Together with the Emeritus Professors and holders of Honorary Award, each graduate on receipt of an academic award granted by the University (or the then City Polytechnic of Hong Kong) automatically becomes a member of the Convocation. Its establishment on 1 January 2007 marked an important milestone in the alumni history of the University. It creates a significant link between the University and its growing band of alumni.

ARO serves as the Convocation Secretariat since January 2007 and supports a wide range of Convocation activities including election. The elected Standing Committee is the executive body of the Convocation carrying out duties as stipulated in the Constitution. Please click HERE for the Convocation homepage.
