Dr Andrew Fan shares valuable experiences with awardees at FANs Awards Reception

On 25 November, the Alumni Relations Office organised a “FANs Awards Reception” via Zoom for Dr Andrew Fan, Founder of the “FANs Awards Scheme”, and its awardees. Dr Andrew Fan; President Way Kuo; Professor Matthew Lee, Vice-President (Development & External Relations); Ms Kathy Chan, Associate Vice-President (Development & Alumni Relations); Dr Ron Kwok, Director of Alumni Relations Office and Ms Pheony Tsang, Associate Director of Alumni Relations Office greeted all on the occasion.

Dr Fan is a Court Member, Distinguished Alumnus and Honorary Fellow of the University, and is an esteemed CityU supporter. The “FANs Awards Scheme” was launched in 2007 by him, to nurture CityU future leaders. This is the 15th Anniversary of the Scheme. Over the past fifteen years, the awards have been granted to more than 300 outstanding students. When sharing welcoming remarks, President Way Kuo extended his gratitude to Dr Fan for his long-standing contributions to the University. He encouraged the award recipients to follow footsteps of Dr Fan by giving back to their Alma Mater and society.

Dr Fan appreciated the unprecedented accomplishments of the University in the past 15 years under the lead of the President. At the reception, Dr Fan had an interactive exchange with some 30 award recipients. He encouraged them to explore possibilities in their studies and careers. The awardees shared their thoughts on career planning and development and expressed appreciation to Dr Fan for his care and continuous support!

范家輝博士於「奮進獎勵計劃」答謝會與得獎者分享寶貴經驗

校友聯絡處於11月25日以網上形式舉行了「奮進獎勵計劃」答謝會，安排獎勵計劃創辦人范家輝博士及其受惠學生和年青校友會面。范家輝博士； 郭位校長；副校長（發展及對外關係）李國安教授；協理副校長（發展及校友聯絡）陳燕玲女士；校友聯絡處處長 郭致偉博士及校友聯絡處副處長 曾綺萍女士 ， 一同參與答謝會並祝賀各得獎者。

范家輝博士是城大的顧問委員會成員、傑出校友及榮譽院士，是大學非常重視的支持者。范博士於2007年成立「奮進獎勵計劃」，旨在培育城大學生成為未來領袖。今年是獎勵計劃成立15周年，至今已有逾300多名傑出學生獲得此獎項。校長郭位教授在歡迎辭中感謝范博士長期以來對大學的貢獻。他亦勉勵得獎者追隨范博士的腳步，回饋母校和貢獻社會。

范博士感謝並讚揚郭位校長在過去15年帶領城大取得多項輝煌成就。在答謝會上，范博士與近30位獲獎學生及年青校友進行互動交流，鼓勵他們要勇於在學習和事業上探索各種可能性，發揮所長。眾得獎者亦分享了他們對職業規劃及發展的看法，並感謝范博士的關愛和長期支持！
