Updates on campus access 

Dear Alumni,

In order to strengthen alumni services while embracing the development of a smart campus, the CityU Alumni Card has been upgraded to a smart card. It is a convenient identity proof enabling campus access and integration of selected on-campus services of alumni. Alumni can simply tap the Alumni Card at the electronic gateways when visiting the campus. This upgrade saves the time and efforts of registration at the entrance for each visit.  

Please note that Alumni Card has been served as the sole identity proof for alumni when getting access to the campus since 1 January 2021.

Besides, according to the University Announcement (ERU 145), all entrants to the University campus, including alumni, are required to have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine starting from 24 February 2022, except for those who are unfit for vaccination due to medical condition supported by a valid medical exemption certificate.

Starting from 26 September 2022, all access card holders are required to have received at least three doses of COVID-19 vaccines, or have one dose of vaccine within the last 6 months. Only those who are unfit to be vaccinated will be exempted, and only when a valid QR code of COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate is presented.
