Qualitative Assessment Tools(Teachers)

In their interviews, the teachers first articulated their understanding of aggression and victimisation; then they described the status of school bullying. Thereafter, an in-depth discussion took place on the characteristics of the students. The interviews included the following topics:

  1. Teachers’ approach to handling bullying incidents.
  2. Students’ school life (e.g. academic attainment, popularity).
  3. Students’ behaviour (e.g. whether they deliberately made things difficult for teachers, showed aggressive behaviour).
  4. Students’ relationships with their parents (e.g. parenting styles).
  5. Teachers’ expectations for the group intervention.
