Dr Yorkee Leung graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science with Honours in 1999. He received a Master degree in Veterinary Studies, major in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery through Murdoch University in Perth. In 2004, he obtained the membership by examination to the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine.
He started off his career practicing veterinary medicine in a large Veterinary Hospital in Adelaide before moving back to Hong Kong to practice in 2001. He opened his own Veterinary Hospital in 2002 and two years later, established his second Veterinary Hospital in Hong Kong. He was responsible for the daily operations and management of these two Veterinary Hospitals until 2015.
He joined City University of Hong Kong in 2016 as the Veterinary Services Support Coordinator of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. He assists with the Laboratory operations and supervises the specimen accessioning section.
