Seventeen professors from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong have been named among the 2025 "World's Top 2% Scientists" list. This prestigious list is jointly released by Stanford University and the internationally renowned academic publisher Elsevier. It ranks scholars based on key metrics from Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database. Covering 22 academic fields and 174 subfields, the rankings are determined by the number of citations that a scholar's publications have received both over their entire career (Career-long) and within the year 2024 (Single-year).
