Mr. Aaron Chi Fai Leung, the Head Technical Officer of The City University of Hong Kong Aquatic Veterinary Ambulatory Service, was invited as a guest speaker for the topic “One Health Approach in Aquatic Animal Health Enhancing Biosecurity and Disease Management in Fish Farming” for The School of Clinical Medicine, The University of Hong Kong on 2nd April 2025. The City University of Hong Kong Aquatic Veterinary Ambulatory Service started operating at the end of February 2025 with the SFDF_0052 funds. The service caters to local aquaculture fish/crustacean farmers in Hong Kong. Our farm visits generally consist of water quality assessments and collection of fish specimens for diagnostic work. Laboratory work includes post-mortems, wet mounts, tissue smears, bacteriology, and histology as required. For viral testing, we also conduct PCR testing. We responded to 22 cases from 19 clients involving 31 site visits between February 2025 to April 2025.
