From June 10th to 13th, Prof. Sergio Guerrero Sanchez and Dr. Angus Lam represented the OHRP at the second and final general meeting of the LANCET/PPATS Commission for Prevention of Viral Spillover at the Source, which took place at the Future Africa campus of the University of Pretoria.
Besides participating in a workshop on systems mapping in the context of zoonotic spillover prevention, an interdisciplinary team of experts in public health, animal health, conservation, ecology, food security, social sciences, and policy, engaged in fruitful discussions on addressing the various drivers involved in the occurrence of viral spillover at different animal-human interfaces.
