March 27, 2025 In recognition of his contribution to the field of veterinary epidemiology, preventive medicine and economics, Prof Dirk Pfeiffer received an honorary life membership of the Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at its Annual Conference and General Meeting in Berlin on 27 March 2025. The following photo shows Dirk together with the other lifetime membership awardee, Prof Mirjam Nielen from the University of Utrecht and the current President of SVEPM, Assoc Prof Timothée Vergne from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse. When thanking the SVEPM Committee at the AGM, Dirk expressed his gratitude to all the friends, students and colleagues who have made his professional journey over the last 40 years such an amazing experience.
