College of Computing Celebrates Prestigious RGC Fellowship Award for 2025/26

DS RGC Collaborative Research Fund 2024/25

The College of Computing is delighted to announce that our distinguished faculty member Prof. Wang Shiqi, Associate Dean (Internationalisation and Industry), College of Computing and Professor, Department of Computer Science, has been awarded a fellowship under the Research Fellow Scheme by Research Grants Council (RGC) for his pioneering research project, “Improving the Perceptual Experience of Visual Content Generated by AI”. This prestigious fellowship recognises Prof. Wang’s exemplary research accomplishments and the far-reaching impact that his innovative project is expected to have.

This year, the RGC granted only eleven Research Fellow Scheme awards across Hong Kong. Each recipient will receive approximately HK$5.4 million over five years to advance their cutting-edge research.
