LI Xiaotong is a Postdoc at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. She obtained her PhD in law from the City University of Hong Kong. Her doctoral research studied Chinese criminal law in both legal-history and socio-legal methods. She obtained her LLM in International Business Law from the Case Western Reserve University, and LLB from the Southwestern University of Political Science &Law. She has the legal professional qualification certificate of PRC and interned at Beijing Dentons law firm. She also has worked as a research assistant for one research project and two criminal law books. Her research interests are criminal law, national security law, law and society, and legal history.
