Female Faculty Members from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) Celebrate Women Shaping the Future of Science and Technology

The Office of the Vice-President (Research) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) proudly announces a special event dedicated to promoting and celebrating the remarkable achievements of women and girls in the field of science and technology. In alignment with the upcoming International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, 2024, CityU organized an inspiring photo shoot that beautifully captures the strength and brilliance of our female faculty members. Held on February 6, 2024, the event aimed to highlight the significant contributions of women in the scientific community while inspiring and empowering future generations of women in science.

The photo shoot brought together six accomplished scientists from the SEE faculty, whose outstanding accomplishments have made a substantial impact in their respective fields. Their collective expertise spans a wide range of scientific disciplines, including renewable energy, climate change, environmental engineering, and sustainable development. These exceptional women demonstrated unwavering commitment to their research and the advancement of scientific knowledge. Through their groundbreaking work, they have not only contributed to academic excellence but also played a crucial role in addressing pressing global challenges. Their achievements serve as a powerful inspiration to both current and aspiring female scientists, breaking down barriers and encouraging women to pursue fulfilling careers in science and technology.

Again, CityU wholeheartedly invites the broader community to join in celebrating the remarkable achievements of women in science and to actively promote gender equality in the field. By recognizing and appreciating the invaluable contributions of women scientists, we can collectively work towards building a more diverse and inclusive scientific community that thrives on the strengths of all its members.
