2022 (CUMCM, 全國大學生數學建模競賽). They are the only team from Hong Kong to win the First Prize in the competition.Mr SHEN Zhenda (沈臻達)and Mr SUN Tianxing (孫天星), two third-year students, teamed up with Data Science student Junye DU (杜駿曄) won the First Prize in the Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling

As we three are all interested in modelling, we teamed up in the summer before CUMCM. To prepare for the competition, we found an online tutorial to familiarize ourselves with the requirements and procedures of CUMCM.

Going on exchange is an unforgettable and rewarding experience. Living in another country gave me the chance to learn about a new culture, meet new people and find new places to explore. I improved my English and learned more professional knowledge.

Apart from real work experience, OIS students also gain the valuable opportunity to appreciate life in a different culture and develop a global perspective.
