Application Procedures and Details

CityU BSCM students are required to fill in an Excel file, a photo in softcopy* and submit them together with your Online Grade Display to the Department of Mathematics (MA). CityU MA will seek approval from the BSCM Assistant Major Leader and forward the endorsed applications to the Department of Mathematics, HKBU. Students will be informed of the application result by the offering university via MA CityU. Acceptance of the student is at the discretion of HKBU, taking into account its quota availability and other relevant factors.

Students can ONLY take HKBU Mathematics Course(s) which offered to CityU MA students as mentioned above.

Students admitted to a course will be officially registered as visiting students at HKBU and are required to participate fully in the course, which includes completion of coursework and examinations, if applicable.

All the credits gained can be counted as fulfilling the Major Elective requirements for the BSCM programme subject to approval of credit transfer for the courses taken is being granted.

Students who wish to drop/withdraw from the course should submit their request with justifications in writing to the CM Major Leader before the deadline. MA will forward the request to HKBU for processing.

Application fee and tuition fee have been waived as agreed by both CityU and HKBU.

Course Registration, Examination and Grade Results

Students will be informed of course registration and examination details by HKBU.

Grade will be given to students at the end of a course, and result will be sent to CityU by HKBU. To comply with the requirement of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the consent of MA students for the release of the results to MA, CityU will be sought during the course application stage.

Credit Transfer
Students are required to fill in an application form for credit transfer and submit it to the Department of Mathematics, CityU within 3 working days upon receiving the transcript of the relevant HKBU course(s). Applications for credit transfer will be considered on condition that the students have attained at least grade C or above in the selected HKBU course(s).

Application Procedures and Details

HKBU Mathematics Students are required to fill in an application form and submit it, together with a photocopy of your academic transcript(s) for previous academic qualification obtained, to the Department of Mathematics, HKBU for endorsement. Applications without HKBU's endorsement would not be processed. Acceptance of the student is at the discretion of CityU, taking into account its quota availability and other relevant factors.

Students should observe the rules and regulations prescribed by CityU during course registration.

Students will be informed of the examination timetable and related details normally one month before the start of examination period by email.

Study under this Scheme will not lead to a degree or other awards from CityU. Upon completion of study, an academic report will be sent to the students via their home institution. Students may also apply for a transcript according to CityU's procedures.
