Returns, Renewals and Recalls
Loan Period of Physical Books
- Latest due date of all items on loan to you can be checked on My Library Account.

Returning Physical Books
- Physical books should be returned by the due date to the Circulation Counter of the CityUHK Library during counter service hours.
- Users should NEVER put any Interlibrary Loan (HKALL / Others) books into the library’s bookdrops, or return them directly to the lending institutions.
Renewing Physical Book Loans

You may renew your Interlibrary Loan (HKALL / Others) books online via CityUHK LibraryFind.

Books from overseas libraries | Renewal is possible subject to the consent of the lending library and the renewed loan period of the book concerned is determined by the lending library as well. |
- We will inform you of the new due date as soon as the renewal is approved by the lending library. However, if the renewal is not granted, the Interlibrary Loan book must be returned to us on or before the original due date.
Recalling Physical Books
- All loans are subject to recall.
- If a specific book is recalled by the lending library, the loan period will be shortened, and users will be notified by email to return the book earlier according to the new due date.
- Please return the recalled items to the Library’s Circulation Counter by the new due date as specified on the recall notice.
