Dr David Williams will lead a hands-on wet lab in veterinary ophthalmology, covering techniques such as corneal grafts, conjunctival grafts, entropion/ectropion and eyelid resection. You will have the opportunity to try out these techniques under the expert guidance of Dr Williams. He will present a step by step tutorial on the techniques and share his tips and tricks for surgical success.

Dr David Williams

Dr David Williams, associate lecturer at Cambridge University and a fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge, has had a long and distinguished career in veterinary ophthalmology. Along with clinical training in veterinary ophthalmology to become a specialist, Dr David Williams also undertook research in ocular pharmacology and gained a PhD.

Dr Williams sees ophthalmologic cases on a referral basis at Cambridge and undertakes research in age-related cataract and tear film deficiencies. He has a keen interest in teaching and holds the post of Fellow, Director of Studies in Veterinary Medicine and College Lecturer in Pathology at St John’s College, Cambridge. He has authored numerous peer reviewed papers and book chapters.
