Payment Methods to Settle Your Student Account Balance

1.

CityU Pay

Students are encouraged to settle their account balance through CityU Pay, the brand new one stop intergrated online payment portal of the University, by using popular mobile wallets like Faster Payment System (FPS), Alipay (Hong Kong and Mainland China) and WeChat Pay. Payments made by mobile wallets on CityU Pay will update student account balance INSTANTLY.

For international students, CityU Pay integrated with Flywire and Western Union, the two most popular global student fees payment networks, in providing a convenient way to pay for their student account charges through a wide range of payment methods at competitive exchange rates in their home currency. Student account balance will be updated automatically once the payment is received by the University which normally may take a couple days.

Students will also be given the option to generate an email payment request with QR code to their parents or sponsor to settle the balance on their behalf.

Payment options currently supported by CityU Pay for student account balance settlement include:
  • Faster Payment System (FPS)
  • Alipay (Hong Kong and Mainland China wallet)
  • WeChat Pay
  • Flywire
  • Western Union GlobalPay for Students

Telegraphic Transfer

International students who can only settle their account balance by wire transfer are encouraged to remit your payment through Flywire or Western Union on CityU Pay for better follow up and timely update of your account.

Students from Mainland China SHOULD NOT remit fees to CityU's bank account selected directly from your Mainland China e-banking apps or mobile wallets as we may not be able to identify your payment and a late charge may finally be applied.

Students should absorb the full transaction cost when making the remittance and any shortfall due to bank charges levied will be recovered from your student account.
