CityUHK School of Law Commencement for Graduating Class of 2025
The School of Law of City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Commencement took place at Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall, Lau Ming Wai Academic Building on 17 June 2025, celebrating the accomplishments of the graduating class of 2025.
More than 1,200 participants including faculty members and graduates from Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), Master of Laws in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (LLMArbDR), Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL), Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes, along with their parents, relatives and friends participated in this memorable event and witnessed the solemn moment.
The ceremony was graced by the Honourable Mr Justice Syed Kemal Shah BOKHARY, GBM, Non-Permanent Judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, who delivered an inspiring address as the Guest of Honour. Justice Bokhary shared invaluable insights on career pathways for law graduates. He said, “Whether in one capacity or another, our shared endeavour is to leave the law better than we found it.” Justice Bokhary congratulated all the graduates on their fulfilment and wished them well in everything they attempt.
Professor LIN Feng, Dean of CityUHK School of Law, presided at the ceremony. In his address, he encouraged the graduates to use their legal expertise not just for personal gain, but to serve the public and to contribute to the betterment of our legal system. “As you embark on this exciting journey, remember to stay true to your values, to keep learning, and to always strive for justice,” he said. Finally, Professor Lin thanked the graduates for entrusting their university education to the School and hoped they will give back to the School when an opportunity arises.
Afterwards, our graduate representatives Ms ISHIGAMI Naho Iona, Ms LEUNG Sin Yeuk,
Ms ZHONG Liwen and Mr LEUNG Sze Lum each gave an address on behalf of the class of 2025.
At the ceremony, Professor Lauren Yu-Hsin LIN was presented the CityUHK Outstanding Research Award for Junior Faculty 2024, an honour bestowed on young scholars whose work has had a significant impact on industrial, economic or social development in Hong Kong and beyond.

The Commencement marks the beginning of a new journey for the graduates. CityUHK School of Law wishes all the graduates a bright future.
香港城市大學（城大）法律學院於2025年6月17日在劉鳴煒學術樓黃翔羅許月伉儷講堂舉行畢業典禮，慶祝2025年畢業生圓滿完成學業。
逾一千二百名出席者包括本院教師，法律學學士、法律博士、法學碩士、法學碩士（仲裁及爭議解決學）、法學專業證書、法學博士和哲學博士課程的畢業生與親友參與這場盛事並見證莊嚴的一刻。
香港終審法院非常任法官包致金先生作為主禮嘉賓出席典禮，並發表了鼓舞人心的致辭。包致金法官在致辭中就法律畢業生的職業發展之路分享了寶貴的見解。他表示：「無論身處何種職位，我們共同的目標都是讓法律比我們最初創立時更加完善。」 包致金法官向全體畢業生表示祝賀並祝願他們在未來的發展道路上一切順利。
城大法律學院院長林峰教授宣佈典禮開始。他在致辭中鼓勵畢業生運用法律知識謀求個人利益之餘，更要為公眾服務，並為完善香港的法律制度做出貢獻。他說：「當你們踏入社會，請牢記要堅守個人價值觀，不斷學習並始終堅持正義。」最後，林教授感謝畢業生託付予城大法律學院教育的重任，並希望將來有機會大家可以回饋學院。
之後，畢業生代表ISHIGAMI Naho Iona，梁倩若，鍾瀝文和梁思臨分別在典禮上致辭。
典禮上，法律學院林郁馨教授獲頒2024年城大「傑出研究獎——青年學者」，該獎項旨在表彰研究成果對本港及國際工業、經濟及社會發展產生重大影響的研究人員。
