Celebrating the Achievements of LLM and JSD Students and Graduates

CityUHK School of Law is delighted to celebrate the recent achievements of graduates from our Master of Laws (LLM) programme and Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD) Programme for Chinese Senior Judges.

In the 2nd China Applied Jurisprudence Forum Summit Essay Competition (第二屆中國應用法學高峰論壇徵文評選) organised by the Supreme People’s Court of China, submissions from our graduates and students have earned high recognitions, standing out from over 3,500 entries.

  • YAO Jianjun (Xi’an Intermediate People’s Court, Shaanxi Province), our JSD graduate, has won a second prize for his paper titled, “Research on the Definition of Liquidation Obligor’s Liability under the New Company Law”. He was a student of Prof. GUAN Wenwei.
  • WU Tao (The People's Court of Futian District, Shenzhen), our LLM alumna, has received a second prize for her research paper titled, “A Study on the Institutional Arrangements for the Legal Representative's Inability to Perform Duties Normally - Taking the Legal Interpretation of Paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the New Company Law as an Opportunity”, originated from the independent research project supervised by Prof. Virgina HARPER HO in 2023.
  • CAO Ke (The High People's Court of Chongqing Municipality), our JSD alumnus who was also a student of Prof. GUAN Wenwei, has been recognised with a second prize for his co-authored work, “An Examination of Intellectual Property Judicial Policy: From the Perspective of New Quality Productive Forces”.
  • XIA Jiangli (Nansha District People’s Court of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province), also our LLM alumna, has won the excellence award for her co-authored piece, “On the Construction of a Case Consultation and Guidance System in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area: From the Perspective of Scenario-Based Judicial Rule Coordination”.
  • LIU Wenxin (Urumqi Intermediate People's Court), our JSD current student under the supervision of Prof. LI Enshen, has received an excellence award for her work, “Restructuring of Criminal Evidence Rules in the Context of the Substantialization of Court Trials”.
  • LI Yuping ( People's Court of Changchun Municipality, Jilin Province), current JSD student of Prof. Alexander LOKE, has been awarded the excellence award for her paper, “Research on the Establishment Conditions of Early Maturity of Shareholders' Capital Contributions”.
     

In addition, at the 40th Anniversary Commemorative Conference and 2025 Annual Meeting of the Administrative Law Research Association of the China Law Society, ZHAO Guilong, who pursued his JSD studies under the supervision of Prof. LIN Feng, Dean of School of Law, has been honored with a second prize of Outstanding Achievements in Administrative Law over the Past 40 Years (Publication Category) (“中國行政法學四十年優秀成果(著作)二等獎”) for his work, “From Precedent to Rule: A Perspective on China's Administrative Litigation Review Standard” (2024, Law Press; 2025, City University of Hong Kong Press)（《從判例到規則：以中國行政訴訟審查標準為視角》）.

祝賀城大法律學院LLM及JSD學員和校友傑出成就

香港城市大學法律學院欣然恭賀法學碩士及中國高級法官法學博士課程校友的卓越成就。

在最高人民法院主辦的「第二屆中國應用法學高峰論壇徵文評選」中，本院畢業生和學生從逾三千五百篇參賽論文脫穎而出，獲獎者包括：

  • 法學博士畢業生姚建軍（陝西省西安市中級人民法院）憑《新《公司法》的清算義務人責任界定問題研究》獲得二等獎。姚法官的博士生導師為關文偉教授。
  • 法學碩士畢業生吳桃（廣東省深圳市福田區人民法院）的《法定代表人無法正常履職的制度安排探究——以對新《公司法》第10條第1款的法律解釋為契機》獲得二等獎。該論文源於2023年由Virginia HARPER HO教授指導的獨立研究項目。
  • 法學博士畢業生曹柯（重慶市高級人民法院）憑合著論文《知識產權司法政策論考——以新質生產力為視角》獲頒發二等獎。曹法官的博士生導師為關文偉教授。
  • 法學碩士畢業生夏江麗（廣東省廣州市南沙區人民法院）憑藉合著論文《論粵港澳大灣區案例會商指導制度的構建——以場景應用式司法規則銜接為視角》榮獲優秀獎。
  • 法學博士學生劉文欣（新疆維吾爾自治區烏魯木齊市中級人民法院）的《庭審實質化背景下刑事證據規則的重构》獲評優秀獎。劉法官的指導教授為李恩深教授。
  • 法學博士學生李雨萍（吉林省長春市中級人民法院）所著的《股東出資加速到期請求權成立條件研究》亦同樣獲得優秀獎。李法官的指導教授為陸飛鴻教授。
     

此外，在中國法學會行政法學研究會成立40周年紀念大會暨2025年年會活動上，由法律學院院長林峰教授指導的法學博士畢業生趙貴龍所著的《從判例到規則：以中國行政訴訟審查標準為視角》（法律出版社，2024；香港城市大學出版社，2025）榮獲中國行政法學四十年優秀成果（著作）二等獎。
