Research Interests
Samgat Yermekbaev is a legal expert and academic serving as the First Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development at Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev, and a professor specializing in cybersecurity. He holds an LLM in International Investment and Business Law from The Pennsylvania State University, complemented by master’s degrees in International Law and Law from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Since 2021, he has been delivering advanced courses on information security, with a focus on the legal frameworks and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity and data protection in the digital environment. Previously, he directed Central Asian Programs at Penn State Law, managing international educational initiatives.
