Research Interests
Floriane is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Law at City University of Hong Kong, supported by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council’s (RGC) Junior Research Fellowship Scheme (JRFS). Her current research examines the cross-border trade of digital cultural assets, with a focus on the legal and regulatory questions raised by emerging technologies in the cultural sector. Her research interests lie at the intersection of international economic law, technology, and cultural heritage, with particular attention to art law, digital cultural assets, and cross-border transactions. Her work explores how legal frameworks respond to the growing interaction between global trade, investment, cultural and technological innovation. Floriane has also gained experience at major law firms and international organisations. She was awarded the Wang Chonghui Prize at the 2025 International Law Association (ILA) – American Society of International Law (ASIL) Asia-Pacific Research Forum. Her work has appeared in leading journals, including Contemporary Asia Arbitration Journal (CAAJ) and the Journal of World Investment & Trade (JWIT). Floriane completed her PhD in Law at City University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Professor Julien Chaisse. She also holds an LL.M. from King’s College London, a Master’s degree from Aix-Marseille University, and a Bachelor of Laws from University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas.
