Liquid crystal monomers （LCMs） are the main materials of liquid crystal displays for electronics. SKLMP member Dr. Henry Yuhe He found LCMs in Hong Kong waters, likely coming from the local landfill and sewage treatment works. LCMs can bioaccumulate and may enter the human food chain.
