BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Sze-Hoi Henry Tye is a prominent Chinese-American theoretical physicist and cosmologist. He earned his PhD from MIT in 1974. Known for pioneering contributions to superstring theory, brane inflation, and early universe cosmology, he was Horace White Professor of Physics at Cornell University (2007–2013) and later joined HKUST as IAS Professor and founding Director of its Institute for Advanced Study (2011–2016).
