In response to the acceleration of reindustrialization addressed by the government and the increasing demand for more technical talents for the local industry, the College of Engineering, together with our Department (MNE) and The Department of Electrical Engineering have announced the debut of 3 new majors, namely Engineering Entrepreneurship, Aerospace Engineering and Micro-electronics respectively, in a media press on 22nd June 2022.

The Head of Department, Prof. PAN Chin, first greeted the audience and then introduced the background of proposing the aerospace engineering major for the Department. It was then followed by the presentations of the Major Leader Prof. YANG Yong and Deputy Major Leader Prof. JING Xingjian with special highlights on the 2 streams design (Aerospace Materials and Aerospace Systems) in the curriculum structure. Dr. Steven WANG supplemented the admissions information to the press at the Q & A session.

We were also very pleased to invite the Vice-chairman and Executive Director of Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group, Mrs. Clarie LO, to share with us the amazing achievements of HKATG as a satellite company as well as the role of our aerospace engineering graduates can play in the industry and future development of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay area.
