A full-fledged 10 Flagship Programmes, one from each College/School, will be launched in 2027/28 to equip students with essential knowledge and skills, cultivate their global leadership abilities, and connect them with leading professionals.

The Flagship Scholarships, which cover tuition and hall fees, a guaranteed berth, and a one-off exchange sponsorship of up to HK$500,000, will be awarded to local JUPAS talents who meet the criteria.

Category C Other Languages subjects

Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) will no longer administer the HKDSE Category C Other Languages subject examinations with effect from 2025. Under the new arrangements from 2025 HKDSE, candidates take the language examinations administered by official cultural organizations recognized by HKEAA. You may refer here for details.

Alternative Qualifications in Chinese Language (ACL) Subjects for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Applicants

To align with the new score conversion system with bonus points for results of HKDSE Category A Core and Elective subjects with effect from 2025, a new score conversion system for the results of ACL subjects for NCS applicants will be adopted. 

Two new programmes are introduced:

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and Columbia University (Columbia) have collaborated for over a decade to recruit talented students via the Joint Bachelor's Degree Program (JBDP), offering students an unparalleled international education experience.

Students will pursue the studies in Asia and North America in two prestigious and top universities, spending two years at CityUHK and two years at Columbia. Upon completion of the four-year programme, graduates will earn two bachelor's degrees—one from CityUHK and one from Columbia.

High school students are welcome to apply for Direct Admission for Joint Bachelor's Degree Program with Columbia University. 

JUPAS applicants who attain excellent overall results in HKDSE but slightly fall short of the programme entrance requirements may still be considered for admission under the flexible admissions arrangement.

No application is required. Eligible applicants will be identified after the modification of programme choices (after release of HKDSE examination results).

On the JUPAS Score Calculator (Coming Soon) webpage, select a programme to show the programme entrance requirements, admission score calculation method and reference scores.

By entering HKDSE results, the admission score of the selected programme will be calculated.

JUPAS applicants applying to CityUHK must meet the programme specific requirements. Please refer to the details here.

For 2027 entry, the main admission score calculation of individual programmes is based on "3 core + best 2 elective subjects" or "Best 5 subjects (may include specified subjects). Subject weightings ranging from 1.25 to 1.5 will be applied to specified subjects for specific programmes when calculating admission scores. 

The admission scores are calculated based on the 2027 programme-specific main admission score formula and the HKDSE results of the JUPAS applicants with Main Round offers in 2026 entry. Please refer to the details here.

Students can also pursue a master's degree at the University or at a world-renowned overseas university through our bachelor’s and master’s combination option.

Students will spend two years at CityUHK and two years at the partner university. On completion of the curriculum requirements, students will earn two bachelor's degrees - one from CityUHK, and the other one from the partner university, normally within four years.
