A full-fledged of 9 Flagship Programmes, one from each College/School, will be launched in 2025/26 to equip students wtih essential knowledge and skills, cultivate their global leadership abilities, and connect them with leading professionals.
The Flagship Scholarships, which cover tuition and hall fees, a guaranteed berth, and a one-off exchange sponsorship of up to HK$500,000, will be awarded to local JUPAS talents who meet the criteria.

Category A Core and Elective subjects
To better recognize the outstanding achievements for applicants who obtain Level 5**, 5* and 5 in HKDSE subjects, a new score conversion system with bonus points for results of HKDSE Category A Core and Elective subjects will be adopted.

Category C Other Languages subjects
Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) will no longer administer the HKDSE Category C Other Languages subject examinations with effect from 2025. Under the new arrangements from 2025 HKDSE, candidates take the language examinations administered by official cultural organizations recognized by HKEAA. A new score conversion system for results of HKDSE Category C Other Languages subjects will be adopted.

At the Teachers’ Corner, useful latest information of JUPAS admission is available to facilitate careers teachers to grasp updated admission information in a convenient way for student counselling.
JUPAS applicants who attain excellent overall results in HKDSE but slightly fall short of the programme entrance requirements may still be considered for admission under the flexible admissions arrangement.
No application is required. Eligible applicants will be identified after the modification of programme choices (after release of HKDSE examination results).

By entering HKDSE results, the admission score of the selected programme will be calculated.
The admission scores are calculated based on the 2025 programme-specific main admission score formula and the HKDSE results of the JUPAS applicants with Main Round offers in 2024 entry. Details are available here.
For 2025 entry, the main admission score calculation of individual programmes is based on "3 core + best 2 elective subjects", "Best 5 subjects (may include specified subjects) or "Best 4 subjects (may include specified subjects)". Details are available here.

The University has provided entrance scholarships, "CityUHK Scholarships for Hong Kong Talents", to recruit bright Hong Kong talented students with excellent HKDSE results. Applications for the President's Scholarships and Hong Kong Tech Scholarships are accepted until early June 2025.
To cater to the advanced learning needs of elite students and to enhance their competitiveness, The CityU Tiger Programme offers Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme with Ivy League and other world-class universities including Columbia University, University of Edinburgh and University of Manchester and a customised curriculum in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and other high quality fundamental courses. Students can also pursue a master's degree at the University or at a world-renowned overseas university through our bachelor’s and master’s combination option.

Students will spend two years at CityUHK and two years at the partner university. On completion of the curriculum requirements, students will earn two bachelor's degrees - one from CityUHK, and the other one from the partner university, normally within four years.
CityUHK students who wish to be considered for the joint bachelor's degree programmes must be enrolled in a 4-year degree programme of the majors concerned. More details of the eligibility criteria and relevant majors are available here.
