Anyone who is involved in organizing an IEEE Conference, or is thinking about organizing a conference, is urged to attend. T-ASE at Ten: A Celebratory Panel at ICRA 2014

The first issue of the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE) appeared in July 2004. In this panel, leading researchers and members of the Editorial and Advisory Boards will be joined by RAS Leaders to reflect on the first decade of the journal, including history, highlights, and plans for the future.

2014 RAS Town Hall meeting

Meet your RAS Conference Leadership, discuss the current conference business and vision for the future of conferences.
Calling all RA Society members, and those interested in learning more about IEEE Conferences! RAS VP of Conferences Oussama Khatib and the RAS Conference Activities Board (CAB) Associate VPS will hold a Town Hall meeting of the membership. The focus will be on the RAS Conference Team restructure, RAS current conference portfolio and the future of conferences. A Panel Discussion will be held following short presentations by each of the RAS Conference Vice President and Associate Vice Presidents.

RAS Member Luncheons at ICRA 2014

During ICRA2014, 31 May-7 June, the following luncheons are being offered to members of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society.

  • Young Professionals Lunch is being held on Monday, 2 June, in S428. This luncheon is open to recent graduates, so that they can network with peers and find out more about the benefits of RAS. This Luncheon is SOLD OUT.
  • Women In Engineering (WIE) Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, 3 June, in S426. The WIE luncheon provides an opportunity for all the female and male professionals who are interested in women engineering education to discuss the subjects of career path, career/family choices, and other topics. There is a $5 USD registration fee to attend. Advanced registration via Paperplaza is required. (Registration is now open to All Registrants)
  • Student Lunch with Leaders (LwL) will take place in parallel to the Women In Engineering (WIE) Luncheon on Tuesday, 3 June, in S421. Lunch with Leaders (LwL) offers student members an opportunity to network with RAS leaders, and get advice and mentoring on their career and research. This Luncheon is SOLD OUT.
