New Year, New Beginnings: Join Us on Our Creative Journey in 2026
We hope that your 2026 is off to a great start. Thank you all for your support this past year!
Looking forward with new exciting projects
As we enter our 30th year, our press catalogue features compelling new titles. We will expand our extensive professional collections with a focus on law, communication, social work, and business. In humanities and history, upcoming publications range from local topics, including the Royal Hong Kong Police, Tung Wah Hospital and Queen’s college, to further afield with the ancient Silk Road and Confucius Institutes.
More volumes are planned for our CityUHK Signature Series, including additions to the award-winning “TechVentures Series”, a new series for the College of Business, and life stories of long-time CityUHK supporters.

Innovative internationalization and open access initiatives
We continue to extend our geographical reach via publishing events, including Taipei International Book Exhibition, London Book Fair, and the Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference. We also remain dedicated to the principles of open science and knowledge sharing among the scholarly community. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement this summer about open access opportunities for authors!
Ongoing community engagement
The new year brings a new “CityUHK InnoDiary” featuring information about Shatin District with maps, restaurant and shopping recommendations, and more, created by students for students, especially those living in the Ma On Shan student residences.
In addition, we have partnered with the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery on their exhibition “Prototyping” (29 January to 26 April). Not only will CityUHK Press support design and printing of the exhibition guidebook and other materials, we will also conduct on-site demonstrations as a bookmaker in residence.
We look forward to celebrating 30 years of publishing excellence via these initiatives and more. Thank you for your continued support and engagement as we endeavor to publish works of social impact and lasting value.
