RAISe+ Scheme

To foster collaboration among industry, academic and research sectors, and to drive the transformation of outstanding research & development (R&D) results to commercialisation, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China will launch a $10 billion “Research, Academic & Industry Sectors One-plus Scheme” (RAISe+ Scheme) following the Chief Executive’s 2022 Policy Address.

The Scheme will provide funding on a matching basis to support university research teams to establish tech start-ups. The funding scheme will support the transformation and realisation of R&D outcomes, as well as the commercialisation of R&D outcomes, within around five years.

The SVIE Office, along with the Knowledge Transfer Office, will coordinate and facilitate faculty members’ participation in the scheme. Stay tuned for updates and further details.
