The second concert of CityU Arts Festival 2020/21, Chamber Music Concert: “When Classic Meets Anime”, drawn a full house of the audience on 7 April 2021. A group of young and professional musicians displayed various Chamber Music with both classical and popular repertoire.
Audiences enjoyed vibrant melody from the joint performance by Mr. Angus LEE (Flute) and Ms. Shelley NG (Piano), featuring Sonatine for Flute and Piano composed by Henri DUTILLEUX and Vocalise-Etude composed by Olivier MESSIAEN. Cong Quartet also re-interpreted theme songs from famous Japanese Anime such as Digimon and Attack on Titans, which resonated childhood memory of the audience.
The show was smoothly organised in compliance with the social distancing arrangement. Everyone enjoyed it so much!
