The “Win Your Next Social Impact Competitions: Pitching Secrets from Experts”, organised by the Golden Key Club, Student Development Services, was held successfully on 11 March 2025.
Fireside chat sessions “Pitching Secrets from Experts” featured experts from various industries, each with a wealth of experience in formulating impactful ideas, pitching for competitions, and offering valuable advice to competition participants. 85 students had the opportunity to learn universally valuable skills, such as how to build a winning structure for pitches, develop go-to-market strategies for impact-driven start-ups, and frame ideas that resonate deeply with people. Professor Dannii YEUNG, Associate Provost (Student Life), also took the opportunity to encourage students to learn from esteemed experts in her opening speech.
“Win Your Next Social Impact Competitions” is a new initiative designed to support students participating in social impact competitions and this fireside chat marked the beginning of the series. Through this event, we can raise awareness of students towards joining social impact competitions and encourage students in learning continuously. There will also be a proposal writing and pitching workshop, and one-on-one consultations where students can refine their pitch with professional guidance from entrepreneurship coaches.
