Congratulations to Professor Tianxiang HE for his appointment as the Vice President of The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA)

On 1^st September, The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA) announced that Professor Tianxiang HE has been elected by the executive committee of the APCA as the Vice President for two years.

The Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA) was established on 15 November 2011 and currently has members from Australia, Peoples Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Nauru, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Vanuatu and Vietnam.

The objectives of APCA are to i) provide a forum for discussion on copyright and related rights; ii) promote, through legislation, dialogue and education, the maintenance and development of copyright and related rights in the Asia-Pacific Region; iii) contribute to the work of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the World Trade Organisation, UNESCO, and other international bodies; and iv) ensure that the needs and concerns of the people of the Asia-Pacific Region are taken into consideration by the international community in all discussions and international negotiations concerning such rights.
