Marine organisms can adapt to ocean acidification through epigenetic change

Prof Wu's research

Copepods are one of the major marine zooplankton groups. SKLMP member Prof. Rudolf Wu explains when copepods were exposed to an acidic environment for a few generations, epigenetic changes will occur and help them to adapt to ocean acidification and restore reproductive rates. This important discovery has been published in the international journal Nature Climate Change.
