As a proud graduate (Class of 1989), I remain deeply grateful for the strong intellectual foundation laid during my formative years. The rigorous training in critical thinking, policy analysis, public and social administration, and social ethics, nurtured by dedicated faculty, instilled in me a profound appreciation for the interplay between theory and practice in addressing complex social challenges. This solid grounding enabled me to pursue further studies and advance into senior leadership positions. Reflecting on my journey, I am convinced that true education transcends the acquisition of knowledge; it cultivates wisdom, character, and a lifelong commitment to the public good. The analytical rigour and humanistic values I acquired at CityU continue to shape my scholarship and leadership philosophy to this day. This learning journey offered me unique experience enabling me to become a Chair Professor in Comparative Policy today.
