My MA in Asian and International Studies at City University of Hong Kong provided the intellectual foundation and global perspective that have shaped my career in international higher education and international relations. The Department’s outstanding professors excelled at connecting theory to practice, helping students understand not only the complexities of global affairs but also their real-world implications. Through rigorous coursework, engaging discussions, and exposure to diverse perspectives, I developed the analytical skills and intercultural competencies that have been invaluable throughout my professional journey. The knowledge and experiences gained at CityU helped prepare me for leadership roles at Universities Canada and now at McGill University, where I work to advance international partnerships, research collaboration, and global engagement.
