We are pleased to share that Professor Edmund W. CHENG's project, "The Inaugural Annual Conference on AI, Large Language Models, and the Social Sciences," has been awarded the NSFC/RGC Joint Research Scheme (Conference Grant). The project is led by Professor CHENG, together with Professor Xun PANG of Peking University, and is funded at HK$241,000 for a 12-month period. It will culminate in a conference to be held at CityUHK on 14-16 October 2027, in collaboration with Peking University and the University of Oxford, and is expected to produce timely publications on AI and social science research.
