We are delighted to see the continued collaboration between City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (HKIAAC) of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in March [link: https://www.icac.org.hk/en/p/press/index_id_2268.html]

 

By bringing together ICAC’s extensive anti-corruption expertise and the strong academic foundation of CityUHK's Department of Public and International Affairs (PIA), this partnership fosters cutting-edge research, knowledge exchange, and professional training in anti-corruption and integrity studies.

 

Recently, representatives from the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (HKIAAC) joined an international research workshop on Innovations in Anti-Corruption Studies organised by CityUHK’s Laboratory for Public Management & Policy, followed by a guided visit to the ICAC. Speakers included Prof. Ting Gong and Prof. Nick Petrovsky from (CityUHK PIA), Prof. Kristina S. Weißmüller (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Prof. Michael Kang (Kyung Hee University), Prof. Wenyan Tu (Fudan University), and Prof. Hanyu XIAO (The Education University).

 

Earlier, the HKIAAC also delivered a professional training session on clean property management for students of the Master of Arts in Housing and Urban Management at CityUHK PIA, equipping future practitioners with practical tools to manage corruption risks and uphold integrity in the profession.

Through close collaboration with partners such as the ICAC, CityUHK's @Department of Public and International Affairs (PIA) is committed to advancing global anti-corruption research, education, and professional development, while fostering international academic exchange🌏.
