As the Vicar of Crown of Thorns Church, I often reflect on how my education laid an unexpected foundation for my theological journey. Bridging biblical concepts with reality requires acute analytical skills, which my training in political philosophy sharpened perfectly. Just as politics seeks to understand reality, true theology is about context—the Word becoming flesh.
The training also prepared me for the dynamic, international environment of St John’s Cathedral, equipping me with multilingual communication skills and a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's diverse communities. The societal awareness fostered also directly inspired my 2025 book, Embracing God in Times of Uncertainty: A Millennials' Thesis of Faith, allowing me to bridge theology with the rapid changes facing Generation Y today.
