Faculty members shone at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG)

Faculty members from the Department of Physics shone at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG) held from 26 to 30 April. Our researchers garnered one Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury and one Gold Medal. The award-winning projects are:

  “AIstain: Virtual Immunostaining for Veterinary Pathology”
  ITsci Company Limited is a HK Tech 300 start-up company supported by CityU. AIstain is a generative AI tool for virtual tissue staining. AIstain is much faster, cheaper and easier to use than conventional veterinary pathology tools, advancing cancer diagnostics.

  “Low Cost and Large-Scale Production of Carbon Nanotubes”
  HK SUPER CARBON NANO TECHNOLOGY LIMITED is a HK Tech 300 start-up company supported by CityU. Innovative and economical process for manufacturing carbon nanotubes, costing merely 10%–20% of existing methods, with comparable excellent electrical conductivity, high strength and light weight.

 

International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva is an annual event dedicated to inventions, providing a unique opportunity for inventors and researchers to showcase their research results and new products.
