College of Science Medal 2019

Congratulations to our fresh graduate Mr. WU Peilin on receiving the College Medal 2019.

Peilin is our 2019 graduate of Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics. At the same time, he also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University through the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program between CityU and Columbia University.

Peilin is an all-rounded student with outstanding academic performance and affable character.  He was on the Dean’s List six times and has received a number of scholarships and awards during his studies at CityU and Columbia University.  He has a keen interest in research and was a member of the Quantum Theory Group of the Department of Physics.  He also joined an internship scheme at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, U.S.A. and completed a research project about molecular dynamic simulation.  In addition, he is selected as the member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, which is the oldest collegiate honor society in the United States and admission is only limited to high-achieving students in the arts and sciences who have also demonstrated the values of tolerance, honor and wide-ranging curiosity.

The College of Science Medal is awarded annually to a final-year undergraduate student in recognition of his/her outstanding academic performance and well-rounded personal qualities.
