Com-Sense Heterogeneous Integrated System
This project introduces an innovative microwave/mmWave heterogeneously integrated system by co-packaging 5.5 GHz Wi-Fi and 60 GHz radar chips with a dual-band shared-aperture antenna, enabling simultaneous gigabit communication and centimeter-level perception. Key breakthroughs include utilizing high-Q passive circuits to enhance active chip efficiency, along with substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) and beamforming phased array shared-aperture architectures that provide wider bandwidth and high isolation in a single antenna system. The system overcomes the volume redundancy and high power consumption of traditional split designs, targeting smart buildings and industrial IoT with integrated sensing-communication capabilities.
