Guests Visit from the Ningbo-Hong Kong Fellowship Association

On 26 June 2023, representatives from the School of Data Science (SDSC) and the Hong Kong Institute for Data Science (HKIDS) engaged in a productive discussion with the Ningbo-Hong Kong Fellowship Association on the challenges and opportunities in Data Science and advanced air mobilities, and the recent developments of intelligent manufacturing and big data in Ningbo. The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to explore potential research collaborations especially in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle logistics and enhance the academic exchange and interaction between the youth in Hong Kong and Ningbo.

Delegates from Ningbo-Hong Kong Fellowship Association comprised Ms Shi Lan (Vice-president) and Ms Huang Hongwei (Secretary General).

CityU representatives comprised Professor Lishuai Li (Associate Professor of SDSC and HKIDS member), and two postdocs in the related field, Dr Yanfang Mo and Dr Xinting Zhu.

About the Ningbo-Hong Kong Fellowship Association
The Ningbo-Hong Kong Fellowship Association was founded on October 30th, 1980. Since its establishment, the association has focused on serving the economic development and making efforts to build bridges between Ningbo natives in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas. Additionally, the association facilitates trade investment, scientific and technological cooperation, cultural exchange, and charitable public welfare undertakings of Ningbo natives in China, which has promoted Ningbo's economic and social development. Recently, the association puts extra efforts on strengthening communication and cooperation between the young generation of Ningbo natives in Hong Kong and Ningbo.
