The Office of the Vice-President (Community Engagement) aims to strengthen the University’s connection, interaction and collaboration with the local community particularly primary and secondary schools, youths and older people in the neighborhoods, to bring about a positive change with collective benefits for the University and the community, including enhanced learning experiences for our students with a heightened sense of social responsibility.
The Office of the Vice-President (Community Engagement) initiates and organizes a variety of community outreach programmes and events that provide opportunities to connect with community members and engage the community with the University.

「愛護兒童全城舞動創彩虹」——— SDG 千人創世界紀錄活動由香港城市大學、香港童軍總會九龍地域，以及香港扶幼會則仁中心學校攜手主辦。
活動以呼籲大眾保護兒童免受一切形式的暴力，讓每位孩子遠離恐懼、忽視、虐待及剝削，並建立共融社區及平等教育，達致可持續發展為目標。透過千人共創，同心參與一場結合了「舞蹈與武術」的帶氧運動，展示出一條甚具象徵意義的大型彩虹方陣，以提醒社會各界積極支持可持續發展的願景、關愛兒童，創造共融。是次活動的SDG世界紀錄標題為“The Most Cumulative Participants in a Martial Arts-Inspired Dance Performance” 。活動更輔以攤位遊戲，以嘉年華形式進行。
