Abstract:

Electrospinning is a versatile and scalable technology for preparing ultrafine nanofibers. Furthermore, it can not only produce various nanofiber materials composed of organic, inorganic, and metallic components but also construct hierarchical and composite structures with enhanced mechanical properties, chemical properties, and functional properties. These characteristics enable its wide application in fields such as gas sensors, functional membranes, energy storage, catalysis, and healthcare.

Although this technology has achieved numerous breakthroughs in the fields of science and engineering during its development, and its application fields are also continuously expanding, it still needs to deepen industrialization-oriented research and development work to meet market demands. Focusing on the versatility of electrospinning technology and its potential in developing next-generation structural materials and functional materials, this talk presents the research and development work and practical experiences of nanofibers in the fields of structural materials (such as materials with high specific surface area and tunable pore structures, aerogels) and functional materials (such as lithium-ion battery separators, microbial fuel cell electrodes, methanol fuel cell electrodes).
