Eligibility
1. Completed a minimum of one semester of study as full time current year 1 MSE undergraduate student.
2. Academic record with a CGPA of 3.3 or above in semester A*.
3. English proficiency certificate of TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5 or other equivalent scores.
4. Not eligible for non-local students from Taiwan.

    *Successful applicants are required to maintain a CGPA of 3.3 or above in the following semester B.

The NTU is a leading university in Taiwan.  It was ranked 77th in the world, 19th in Asia and 51st in the field of Engineering and Technology by QS in 2022. Students participating in the joint degree programme will spend their first year of study at home institution, then their second and third years of study at the host institution, and return to their home institution for the final year of study. By the end of four years of study, students will be awarded two graduation certificates: one conferred by CityU and one by the NTU upon fulfilling the degree requirements stipulated by both universities.

Curriculum Design

Students are required to study Years 1 & 4 at City University of Hong Kong and Years 2 & 3 at National Taiwan University. Students need to complete the same major throughout the four years. Students have to fulfill all the prescribed academic requirements.

Application Schedule

Application Period: 1 to 15 February, 2022

Internal Screening & Interview: 16 February to 7 March, 2022

Announcement of Application Result: 1 April, 2022

Selected applicants will receive notification by email.

Acceptance Deadline for Admitted Students: 16 April, 2022

Tuition Fee

CityU students under this joint programme will pay tuition fee to the home institution irrespective of their study location. Students may apply for scholarships at both institutions on their own if eligible.

Accommodation

In NTU:

1.   Students are guaranteed accommodation, providing their application is submitted by the deadline. No late applications will be accepted.

2.   The accommodation application is included in the enrollment confirmation. Please click here for information about the accommodation options and fees.

In CityU:

On-campus accommodation

1.    Priority will be given to the first two study years of Full-time Non-local students in Government-funded Bachelor's Degree programme.

2.   Applicants must submit their applications before the deadline specified by the Student Residence Office.

There is no guarantee that bed spaces will be granted to applicants. The period of stay will be confined to the study term(s) as agreed by City University of Hong Kong and the home university. More information about on-campus accommodation are available here.

Student Visa
