The department successfully hosted the Alumni–Industry–Student Networking Cocktail on 18 June 2026, bringing together alumni, industrial advisors, faculty members, and current students for an engaging and vibrant evening of exchange.
 
The event commenced with a welcoming address by the Head of Department, Professor Yong Yang, setting the tone for a meaningful gathering across the MNE community. This was followed by a series of insightful sharing sessions delivered by distinguished industrial advisors, who offered valuable perspectives on topics ranging from essential engineering competencies to emerging opportunities in nuclear and railway industries.

The evening also featured lively networking over cocktails, allowing participants to reconnect, establish new connections, and engage in thoughtful discussions. Through this dynamic programme, participants gained first-hand industry insights and strengthened professional ties, reinforcing the Department’s commitment to fostering collaboration and supporting students’ career development.
