The Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system provides centralized monitoring, analysis, and correlation of security events generated from various sources, including firewalls, applications, and network infrastructure.
The system continuously monitors activities across the University environment to detect potential cyber threats, including advanced persistent threats (APT) and insider risks. By leveraging event collection, normalization, categorization, and real-time correlation, SIEM enables timely identification of suspicious behaviors and security incidents.
SIEM also provides a unified dashboard for real-time visibility of security alerts, system status, and compliance posture. This enhances situational awareness and supports efficient incident response and security operations.
Through these capabilities, the SIEM system strengthens the University’s overall security posture and contributes to reliable and secure IT service delivery.
