Lecture and Concert: Lingnan Childhood Memories

Lingnan children’s songs are a collective memory of our ancestors spanning several generations and have even become cherished memories of Chinese migrated abroad. Over the past few decades, they have quietly accompanied the growth of countless children and have been widely spread in Chinese-speaking regions.

Mr. WAI Yin was honored as the "Father of Hong Kong Children's Song”. He will share his grown-up stories while introducing the history and development of Cantonese children’s songs. Young singers and the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble will also perform, and interact through storytelling and singing the Lingnan melodies together with the audience.
