Joint Bachelor's Degree Programme with CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University
About the Programme
The Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme between City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University (CentraleSupélec) provides students with a unique opportunity to gain international exposure, interdisciplinary knowledge, and a competitive edge in the global job market. The joint degree programme is designed to leverage the strengths of both institutions in Computer, AI, Data Science and related disciplines.
Students may choose to begin their studies at either CityUHK or CentraleSupélec. They will spend two years at the incoming institution and continue their studies at the partner institution. Students complete the undergraduate curricula of both CityUHK and CentraleSupélec will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees, one from each university.
Academics Structure
- Years 1 – 2: Study at the incoming institution (either CityUHK or CentraleSupélec).
- Years 3 – 4: Study at the partner institution.
- Internship requirements: Complete the internship in the specified semester/term set by both institutions.
- Upon completion: Awarded two graduation certificates, one conferred by CityUHK and one by Columbia.
First-Year Entry
Students who meet both the general entrance requirements and programme-specific requirements for CityUHK and CentraleSupélec are eligible to apply. Students can opt to begin their studies at either CityUHK or CentraleSupélec. They will spend their first and second years at CityUHK/CentraleSupélec, then their third and fourth years of study at CentraleSupélec/CityUHK.
Third-Year Entry
Students of CityUHK enrolling in the BSc Computer Science or BSc Data Science will be invited to submit an internal application to the College Office in October of their second year of studies at CityUHK. Enrolled students will undertake their first and second years at CityUHK, then their third and fourth years of studies at CentraleSupélec.
Eligibility
- Full-time normative four-year programme students majoring in Computer Science or Data Science
- Completed at least 31 credits within the first year at CityUHK with a minimum CGPA of 3.30 or above
(Completed credits must include a number of credit units specified by the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Data Science for its required courses as stipulated in the first-year curriculum)
- Fulfilled one of the following English Language Requirements1
- a minimum TOEFL total score of 100 (ibt); or
- a minimum IELTS over band score 7.0
1 The test must be taken within two years prior to the submission date of the internal application.
Finance and Scholarship
Students will pay tuition and fees to the institution in which they are enrolled. Eligible students may apply for scholarships at both institutions.
