Prof. YU Xinge and Collaborators Develop Innovative Organ-Conformal Bioelectronic Patch

27 JAN 2026

Prof. YU Xinge's research team, in collaboration with other researchers, has introduced POCKET. This flexible, implantable bioelectronic device is designed to perfectly conform to the complex surfaces of organs, marking a breakthrough in drug and gene delivery. POCKET achieves safe, efficient, and precise intracellular delivery across entire organ surfaces using a novel "nano-electroporation" effect.

The device addresses the challenge of uniform delivery across organs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and targeted treatment. Its potential applications are vast, offering new possibilities for cancer therapies, regenerative medicine, and other organ-specific treatments. The article has been published in Cell titled “An organ-conformal, kirigami-structured bioelectronic patch for precise intracellular delivery” (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0092867425014345?via%3Dihub#sec3).
